On August 21st, the Women & Trans Clinic is starting a research study on HIV self-testing. The study is being led by St. Michaels Hospital and is funded by CIHR Centre for REACH 3.0 and CANFAR.* The Clinic is one of several sites across the country. This trial is to study whether people can successfully use an HIV self-test. If approved, HIV self tests will become available across Canada.

Everyone who comes in for HIV testing will be asked if they want to be in the study. It will take approximately 45 minutes and participants will be compensated $50 for their time. You will be asked to do a self-test, interpret the result and answer some questions in the presence of a study observer. You will then have the rapid, INSTI test; as per usual Hassle Free practices.
