Women/Trans Clinic offers a mixture of drop-in hours and appointments.


Doctors’ services include:

    • Sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing and treatment
    • Genital wart treatments
    • Molluscum treatments
    • Birth control prescriptions on renewals, i.e.  you are currently using hormonal birth control prescribed by Hassle Free Clinic
    • Post abortion check ups
    • Pap tests (see new guidelines for pap screening)
    • Other gynecological–related concerns

Counsellor services include:

    • Anonymous HIV testing (rapid or standard) with pre and post test counselling
    • Birth control methods and hormonal contraceptive (patch, pill, ring, Depo Provera) for patients starting for the first time, or re-starting
    • Intrauterine device and intrauterine system (IUD and IUS) counselling and insertion referrals to the Bay Centre for Birth Control
    • STI Counselling
    • Pregnancy testing, decision counselling and abortion referrals
    • Fertility awareness methods
    • Sexual assault/Domestic violence crisis support
    • Counselling and support for HIV+ women/trans women
    • Sexuality/Psychosocial assessment and referral
    • Emergency Contraceptive Pill (Plan B; $10 donation, cash only)
    • Emergency “one-pack” of hormonal birth control, if you were prescribed birth control from Hassle Free (starts at $10; cash only)
    • Vaccines:  Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B. Please do NOT come to the Clinic during our last hour for vaccination

Drop In Hours and Procedures for Doctors’ Services

    Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays

    • Doors open at 9 a.m.; ‘numbers’ put out at 9. Intake begins approximately 9:40 a.m.  People are seen on a first-come basis.
    • When our capacity for the day is reached, no more numbers can be given out.

    Tuesdays and Thursdays

    • Doors open at 3 p.m.; ‘numbers put out at 3.  Intake begins approximately 3:40 p.m.  People are seen on a first-come basis.

Held at PWA, 200 Gerrard St. East, 2nd floor (in collaboration with PWA & Casey House).

  • Drop in sessions the first and third Wednesday of each month from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Expert led discussions over a hot meal
  • One-on-one nursing consultations
  • Childcare subsidy and tokens available for eligible individuals
